Who we are

Founded in 2001, River Global is an international marketing and consulting firm specialized in facilitating the development and expansion of SME in the Latin American markets. With teams in Brazil,Chile, Colombia,Peru and strategic alliances worldwide, we provide our clients with the most complete understanding of market opportunities in America. We navigate in a variety of products in which we highlight Agricultural marketing – including Food and Beverage, Animal Feed and Pet Food -, Hospitality, and FDI. We provide reliable, high-quality resources for business and market development on an international scale, allowing our clients to make smart investments and profitable decisions. ​

Jose Madeira, Founder CEO

With more than three decades of experience in strategic marketing analysis, and an MBA in International Banking and Finance from Dowling College in NY, Jose Madeira sits at the helm of River Global. Having managed numerous export promotion development activities and market studies. Jose is an expert in creating and strengthening economic and trade ties between Latin America and the United States of America, and he uses this knowledge daily with the team at River Global. Prior to the inception of River Global, Jose worked as Senior International Advisor to the Federation of Industries of the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil and as a Trade Specialist at the Commercial Office of the Brazilian Government in New York. Jose also worked as a professor of International Marketing, International Business Management, and Import/Export Operations at the graduate level in renowned Brazilian Universities.

Carolina Nascimento, Partner COO

Carolina Nascimento is a Partner and serves as the COO at River Global.Carolina holds an MBA in International Business, Trade and Operations (Fundação Instituto de Administração/University of Sao Paulo – FIA/USP)) and B.S. degree in International Relations (Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP)). She has been with River Global for the past decade, working in various positions before becoming one of our organization’s leaders. Caroline has generated millions of dollars in exports to the region and continues to do so. With ten years’ experience in the areas of market intelligence, development, commercial promotion, market access & regulatory affairs and marketing, especially in the agricultural/food and beverage industry, she is integral to the success of River Global.

Our team is built by individuals who are multi-national, multi-cultural and our team is established through knowledge, experience, and proven success. Our rivers join us from diverse backgrounds with varying degrees, all bringing something important and invaluable to our team.

2001 •

Jose Madeira, our CEO, opens the office of representation for the state of New Jersey in Brazil. In the years to follow, we also came to represent Massachusetts, New Mexico, and Georgia.

River Global begins representing the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment (MOITI)

2010 •

River Global begins representing of Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD)

• 2011

River Global expands into the food and beverage industry through our partnership with Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI).

2012 •

Growth comes again, this time in the shape of tourism and hospitality. We begin representing tourist destinations interested in attracting Brazilian visitors, such as Travel South, Explore Georgia, and New Orleans CVB.

• 2014

River Global begins representing Food Export Midwest & Northeast

2015 •

Carolina becomes a partner at River Global

• 2016

To meet demand needs, we expand again with new offices across Latin America in Colombia, Chile, and Peru. This expansion granted us access to all countries of Latin America allowing for the strength of our services to grow alongside us.

2020 •

The start of operations in Mexico, further solidifying our hold on Latin American markets.

2002 •
